True artistry comes from experiencing the world raw, and for hip-hop artist Earl Hazard, life was at its most unfiltered growing up in Tallulah, Louisiana. Spending his formative years in one of the poorest cities in America made a lasting impression on him. Even though music was always a part of his life, it wasn't until he wrote his first bars at 16 that Earl Hazard recognized his talent.
As the lyrics poured out of his mind, overflowing with ideas, references, and emotions, it was clear that this was his calling. By the time he was 18, he was recording in a studio. While it is easy to call Earl Hazard an emcee, this is a mere simplification. He is also an R&B artist who blends elements of Neo-Soul, funk, Jazz, Electronic and even Rock into his sound. This amalgamation creates an instantly unique style like the Creole cuisine of the Deep South; flavorful, well-seasoned, and hearty enough to fill that void for captivating music.
His latest release contribution, Fire in Little Africa, was up for eight Grammy nomination considerations. Having opened for big names like Kool Keith, Rakim, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Ras Kass, and Murs, Earl Hazard has proven his mettle. Other artists have taken note of his electric presence, and Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist Myka 9 has even said he is difficult to follow after Earl Hazard opened his show in Tulsa in 2021.
An active member of his community, Earl Hazard works with various charitable organizations, including the Sri-City Collective, Bob Dylan Center, the Kaiser Foundation, and the MAE Foundation. From fundraisers and supply drives to giving children a musical education, Earl Hazard is more than his music. Currently residing in Tulsa, he focuses on his family and expanding his businesses.
